Before you are able to practice hoshin kanri with your group or broader organization, you need to learn the basics. Starting with one’s own practice is the best place to learn!
You will learn the fundamentals of hoshin kanri (strategy deployment) and make progress on developing your personal hoshin (strategy) document using the Toyota hoshin framework.
Isao Yoshino shares with you his knowledge of hoshin kanri gained from 40-years at Toyota and how he coaches others to develop their personal hoshin. Mr. Yoshino will share an actual example of a hoshin document from Toyota as well as his own personal hoshin for 2021.
Katie shares her experience of supporting the development of annual hoshin processes at several organizations and tips for how to create your own personal hoshin document. Katie will also facilitate a discussion with Mr. Yoshino about what he learned from supporting hoshin kanri process for many years and from his own experiences as a manager using hoshin.
